Weekend Treasuries

Each weekend, the PCF Team on Etsy plays a treasury game. To play the game, a member must create a treasury including four chosen member shops. Today we're featuring a few of the weekend treasuries that were made. Hope you enjoy! All treasury images are clickable, so you can click on the treasury image to go and give it a fave and/or leave a comment.

If you're an Etsy member, and you make a treasury (any treasury) during this week, come back here and leave the link to your treasury in a comment to be considered for a feature here on the blog!
If you create a collection on ArtFire or Zibbet, we'd also love to see those submissions so that we can feature them here on the blog also.

We're the Promoting Creative Friends team, and we love to promote creative friends.

Return of the PCF Shop Hop

It's the RETURN OF THE PCF SHOP HOP!

If you have an online shop selling handmade, vintage or supplies, you're invited to link up with us and share your goods. All online shops are welcome (Etsy, Zibbet, ArtFire, etc), so don't be shy, share what you've got for sale! With the holiday season fast approaching, we are hoping to entice some early shoppers.

We'll be hosting the monthly Shop Hop during the first week of each month, lasting for one week. And each month, a couple of shops will be chosen at random as the Spotlight Shops to be featured during the next month's hop. Please be sure to visit the Spotlight Shops in support of small business, and in the name of Promoting Creative Friends (all social media shares are, of course, welcome and much appreciated as well).

GUIDELINES:
* Link up your shop URL (not a specific item).
* Visit the Spotlight Shops for the month (this will begin next month0.
--->>> Leave a blog comment sharing a favorite item from at least one of the shops.
* Visit at least TWO shops before you (promoting is not mandatory but is definitely appreciated).
* Spread the word and invite friends to join us!
* A button will be coming soon.

Let's Get To It! Time to LINK UP.

New Etsy Review System

Earlier this week Etsy announced that the Feedback system would be retiring with the roll-out of the new Etsy Review System, claiming that it will be creating a more authentic experience.

Previously, feedback was given in a pretty straightforward manner - either positive, negative or neutral and leaving comments as a part of feedback was optional. With the new review system, buyers give a rating using the star system (like eBay) and tell why they gave that rating with text reviews (must be minimum of five words). So, we're saying goodbye to the percentage score and saying hello to a possible 5-gold stars.

Another big change is that the rating and review can be edited. So, for example, if there was a problem and the buyer and seller resolved it together, a poor review could then be edited. Editing is available for up to 60 days.

Also, sellers no longer give the buyers feedback. Only buyers rate the sellers.

So what are your thoughts on this new review system? Will you miss the old feedback style? Do you think this is a step in the right direction?
