Where are you from? Tell us a bit about yourself.
I’m originally from Upstate New York. We moved to Kentucky 16 years ago. We found a little piece of heaven on 50 acres where I enjoy watching my grandkids and my gourds grow!

How did you decide on your shop name?
Ridge Top Cottage was my first Etsy shop. I named it after our home. The land here is on a “ ridge top”. When I opened my second shop I wanted to keep the Ridge Top portion of my Etsy name, hence…Ridge Top Embroidery.

What are 5 things you want people to think when they see your product?

Is this your first craft adventure or have you tried other crafts? What would you like to try?
I also make microwave heat pads that are offered in my Ridge Top Cottage shop. I’ve always wanted to try stain glass…maybe some day I’ll have time!

What do you do when you’re not creating? What activities do you enjoy?
My grandkids! I love spending time with my grandkids. I also very much enjoy growing my gourds which I sell here on Etsy in my other shop. Reading…I love to read.

If you could give a piece of advice to a new shop - what would it be?
Enjoy Etsy! Promote other shops and you’ll be surprised how the promotion will come back to you.

Description: These cobalt blue flower earrings are lightweight and romantic. Lucite flowers are encased in an antique bronze cone, and enhanced by matching glass seed beads.
Length of the flower drop is 1-3/8 inches, with a total earring length of 2-1/8 inches (5.3cm). The antique bronze earring hooks are handmade and hammered (by me) from non-tarnish, 20-gauge Artistic Wire.

Description: I've painted a rhinestone necklace with sunny neon colors... banana yellow, bright yellow, orange, melon pink, hot pink and magenta. The rhinestones are coated with a sealer for protection.
The necklace is a total of 17-1/2 inches, but can be tightened down to about 14 inches. It's inspired by Tom Binns' jewelry.

Turquoise and Sterling Silver Necklace

Description: A lovely Chinese turquoise necklace features rondelle beads alternating with small rounds. The necklace is secured by sterling silver spring rings, findings and lobster-claw clasp.
The turquoise beads start at 10x5mm and graduate to 12x5mm, with 4mm round beads between rondelles. The beads are dyed and stabilized, meaning they will not absorb oil or change color over time. The matrix is black. Total length of the necklace is 18-1/4", plus a 2-1/2" extender chain. A small turquoise bead is wire-wrapped from the end of the extender.

Description: This is a beautiful evening pearl necklace.
Made of mauve and cream pearls, 1 AB rondelle in the center surrounded by pretty mauve faux pearls joined together with sterling silver wire, then you have alternate white and mauve faux pearls followed by white pearls halfway to the back, then I added a cable chain that goes to the back of the neck which closes with a sterling silver toggle.
